In accordance with GDPR, this privacy notice sets out how Summit Groomer Training Group Ltd (Summit) uses and protects personal data that you provide.
Any enquiries received by Summit with regards to becoming a Satellite Centre may require the following information to be held on computer:
- Company name
- Telephone number
- Company address
- Email address
This information will be a requirement for those who go on to become a Satellite Centre of Summit and may be held both on computer and in paper form.
Summit provides our satellite training centres and students with a link to City & Guilds and on-going support and guidance throughout the qualification process. This requires us to hold personal data for all students on computer and/or in paper form. This includes any students wishing to complete the 7763 practical diploma who register direct with Summit.
The following information is required to be completed on a registration form that will be submitted direct from the Summit website or alternatively can be printed, scanned and emailed.
- Telephone number
- Date of birth
- Email address
We will need to be informed of any medical condition(s) that may require extra time or a reader during exams. This information will be held on computer.
Who do we share your data with?
If you are completing a grooming training course which includes a City & Guilds qualification, your personal data as described above will need to be shared with City & Guilds in order to register you for the appropriate qualification.
If you have a medical condition that may require extra time or a reader during exams, the details of this condition will be provided to City & Guilds for them to determine the amount of help that can be allowed.
If you are completing the 7763 practical diploma exams, your information will be shared with the centre you are attending for the exam. This will only be used in an emergency in such cases as last minute cancellation or to inform you of a change of circumstances.
If you require a change of name due to marriage or divorce to ensure the correct name on your qualification certificate, a copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree will be required. This will be held on computer by Summit and City & Guilds.
How long will we hold your data and how will we keep it safe?
Personal data for grooming students will be held for 10 years. Paper files will be kept secure under lock and key and computer files are protected by the appropriate technological security processes that are in place and renewed annually.
Satellite training centre information will be kept indefinitely or until erasure is requested in writing.
Only the management of Summit has access to the computers at 2 Henry Street.
