If you are an experienced groomer looking to establish a training centre, or an existing training provider wishing to deliver recognised qualifications, you can apply to join Summit as a Satellite Centre.
By becoming part of the Summit group, you will benefit from the support, expertise, and quality assurance of a team dedicated to promoting excellence in grooming education.
Entry Requirements
As a guide, applicants should ideally meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of five years' professional grooming experience
- Qualified to at least an Ofqual-regulated Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming
- Hold an adult teaching qualification
- Have suitable premises and facilities to meet training requirements
- Hold, or be working towards, an assessor qualification
If you do not currently meet all of the above requirements but are interested in developing a training centre, Summit can provide guidance and support to help you achieve your goals and understand the steps involved.
Pre-Acceptance Visit
Before joining Summit as a Satellite Centre, a mandatory pre-acceptance visit will be conducted by a member of the Summit team. Please note that this visit is chargeable.
During the visit, we will carry out a comprehensive audit of your centre, including:
Training facilities and equipment
Health and safety procedures
Teaching resources and materials
Schemes of work and training programmes
Quality and standard of grooming
You will receive constructive feedback on the day, along with guidance and support throughout the application process.
Joining the Summit Group
Once the pre-acceptance visit has been successfully completed and all requirements have been met, you will be invited to join Summit as a Satellite Centre and become part of our team of dedicated professional grooming training providers.
